Background
Sayandeb Banerjee has a rich background in quantitative economics and data analytics and has been a part of the analytics industry since its nascency. Fondly known as Sayan, he has over 25 years of experience in the industry and is a seasoned strategic thinker passionate about using data to grow businesses. Sayan commenced his professional journey at GECIS (now Genpact), where he honed his expertise in data analytics and business strategy. Subsequently, he relocated to the United States to join GE Capital, where he furthered his skills in data modelling, risk management, and financial analysis. Before establishing MathCo, Sayan was a part of the founding team of a prominent data and analytics firm.
Role at MathCo
As the CEO of MathCo, Sayan leads the overall organizational strategy and enables data-driven decision-making for Fortune 500 companies and their equivalents. He is also a passionate advocate for holistic employee growth and wellness and facilitates people-centric initiatives as well as a culture of learning through MathCo’s in-house growth accelerator, Coach.
Education
After completing a bachelor's degree in Economics, Sayan pursued a master's degree in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute.
