Context
Our client, a multi-national food products corporation operating primarily in Europe & North America, manages an extensive portfolio of brands across multiple Categories/Sub-categories and channels. With large volumes of sales and brand survey data generated across Category * Country combinations, the organization needed a way to consolidate and analyze this information efficiently, from a single source of truth. Stakeholders require the ability to explore data at multiple levels—sub-category, channel, and SKU—to gain deeper insights into performance trends and make informed, timely decisions in a fast-moving market. 
Problem Statement

MathCo partnered with the client to deliver high-performance, granular analytics at scale: 

  • Leveraged Snowflake’s compute capabilities to efficiently process and retrieve large datasets across category, sub-category, channel, and SKU levels without performance degradation. 
  • Utilized NucliOs, MathCo’s in-house platform, to dynamically generate SQL queries, ensuring only aggregated and relevant data was pulled from Snowflake to optimize efficiency. 
  • Developed interactive reports with a wide range of selectable metrics and dimensions, including seamless Excel export functionality for deeper analysis and reporting.

  • 3× increase in data granularity through a unique solution within the client’s ecosystem, providing SKU-level insights.
  • 8-10 hours reduced to minutes in weekly/monthly reporting, accelerating data processing.
  • Report at the most granular data amounting to 30K+ Unique SKUs, enabling timely, data-driven business performance reporting
  • Harmonize Sellout, Brand Health Tracker, and Household Panel data into a unified SSOT through category-brand mapping and standardized time periods
  • Deliver flexible ad-hoc querying and analysis through SSOT, enabling tailored datasets and in-depth assessment of packaging, product, flavor, and channel performance
