Context
Our client, a multinational food products corporation operating primarily in Europe & North America, manages an extensive portfolio of brands across multiple categories, subcategories, and channels. With large volumes of sales and brand survey data generated across category and country combinations, the organization needed a way to consolidate and analyze this information efficiently from a single source of truth. Stakeholders require the ability to explore data at multiple levels—sub-category, channel, and SKU—to gain deeper insights into performance trends and make informed, timely decisions in a fast-moving market. 
Problem Statement

MathCo partnered with the client to deliver high-performance, granular analytics at scale: 

  • Leveraged Snowflake’s compute capabilities to efficiently process and retrieve large datasets across category, sub-category, channel, and SKU levels without performance degradation. 
  • Utilized NucliOs, MathCo’s in-house platform, to dynamically generate SQL queries, ensuring only aggregated and relevant data was pulled from Snowflake to optimize efficiency. 
  • Developed interactive reports with a wide range of selectable metrics and dimensions, including seamless Excel export functionality for deeper analysis and reporting. 

Impact

  • 3× increase in data granularity, delivering SKU-level insights across 30K+ unique SKUs for timely, data-driven performance reporting.

  • Reporting time reduced from 8–10 hours to minutes, significantly accelerating weekly and monthly analytics and decision-making.

  • Unified Single Source of Truth (SSOT) by harmonizing Sellout, Brand Health Tracker, and Household Panel data through standardized time periods and category-brand mapping.

  • Advanced, flexible analytics enabling ad-hoc querying and deep SKU-level analysis across packaging, product, flavor, price, pack, channel, occasion, and discount curve modeling.

  • 360° brand and consumer performance view via a scorecard framework tracking 15+ brand growth KPIs, combining consumer perception, household metrics, and country-level comparisons with intuitive visualizations.
